A Dialogue with the ACRL Diversity Alliance Task Force

Abstract

The Organizational Development Committee, the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the Library Residents Committee invite all Libraries colleagues to attend “A Dialogue with the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Diversity Alliance Task Force.” This virtual dialogue with Task Force members Annie Bélanger and Lori Cawthorne will take place on Monday, August 30th, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. on Zoom and will be recorded. The goal for participants is to learn about library residency programs and how best to support Residents at Clemson Libraries.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the purpose and importance of residency programs
  • Describe the role of the ACRL Diversity Alliance Task Force and their work
  • Describe leading practices to support the Residents Program at Clemson Libraries, such as with tips and lessons learned
  • Identify retention and inclusion practices
