Who Can Submit?

Anyone may submit an original article to be considered for publication in Journal of South Carolina Water Resources provided he or she owns the copyright to the work being submitted or is authorized by the copyright owner or owners to submit the article. Authors are the initial owners of the copyrights to their works (an exception in the non-academic world to this might exist if the authors have, as a condition of employment, agreed to transfer copyright to their employer).

General Submission Rules

Submitted articles cannot have been previously published, nor be forthcoming in an archival journal or book (print or electronic). Please note: "publication" in a working-paper series does not constitute prior publication. In addition, by submitting material to Journal of South Carolina Water Resources, the author is stipulating that the material is not currently under review at another journal (electronic or print) and that he or she will not submit the material to another journal (electronic or print) until the completion of the editorial decision process at Journal of South Carolina Water Resources. If you have concerns about the submission terms for Journal of South Carolina Water Resources, please contact the editors.

NEW POLICY ADDITION ON SUBMITTALS - ADDRESSING CONTENT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNET
If more than one-third of the content of a submission is available on the Internet, and the source on which it is posted is not a publishing body, the editorial committee will evaluate the submittal in order to determine if it can be accepted for the review process. These types of accepted submittals will be assigned a different category name instead of being named a full article or short communication. The purpose of accepting publications of this type is to apply a formal peer-review process to improve and validate the content, as well as provide long-term archival placement.
