Summary
Soil testing is a useful tool for monitoring soil fertility and determining lime and fertilizer requirements for crops. Clemson University soil tests measure and report the pool of available plant nutrients in the soil and provide recommendations for improving crop yields. It is important to understand a soil test report so you can benefit from the information it contains. This paper provides a brief overview of interpreting routine soil test laboratory reports performed by Clemson University’s Agricultural Service Lab.
