Granville Wilt of Flue-Cured Tobacco
Clemson Extension Program Team
Granville wilt (Ralstonia solanacearum) is the most destructive, yield limiting soil borne disease of flue-cured tobacco in South Carolina. This publication will include information on the pathogen itself, disease cycle and epidemiology, symptomology, similar diseases and management recommendations. This disease can't be control by any one management practice. Combining as many of the recommended management practices as possible into an integrated pest management plan is the key to achieving any level of suppresion.
