Abstract
The trainer developed through completion of this project provides several hands-on education opportunities relevant to irrigation and pumping systems. It will be used to teach students about irrigation systems and give them a firsthand view of a system in action. In order to show how fertigation works, it includes a Venturi injector, an injection pump, and clear PVC pipe demonstrating the injection of fertilizers and chemicals into the system. Multiple configurations can be imposed allowing demonstration of the fundamentals of fluid pump systems and pressure loss.
