Abstract

Newly discovered morphological evidence suggests that there are six principal monophyletic lineages of Glossosoma globally. We designate these as subgenera and infer the relationships among them using PAUP (Ripaeglossa ((Protoglossa + Lipoglossa)(Muroglossa (Glossosoma + Synafophora)))). Species of Glossosoma subgenus Synafophora are reported from China for the first time.
