How to Submit a Publication
1. Using an approved Land-Grant Press template, please submit your publication as a Microsoft Word file using the “Submit Publication” link in the left sidebar. Please contact the Managing Editor if you are in need of a template file.
2. Be prepared to provide:
- a brief summary about your publication that includes key takeaways (75 words or less)
- a minimum of 5 keywords
- at least 3 recommended reviewers including 1 Clemson Extension Agent and 2 specialists (1 of which must be from outside Clemson University)
- 1 photograph or image file (jpg preferred) that is included in your publication or related to your publication topic, as it will display as the 'featured' image on lgpress.clemson.edu
Overview of the Peer-Review Process
After the required information is submitted, the Managing Editor will review the submission for completeness and will send emails to the recommended reviewers asking them to confirm their intent to review the publication. Reviewers will be given 3 weeks to return review feedback. When feedback is received from all 3 reviewers, it will be released to the author. The author will either be asked to complete major or minor revisions or will be notified that the publication is to be accepted as is. Accepted publications will be posted on lgpress.clemson.edu within 1-2 weeks after the acceptance decision is made.
