Abstract
Connect with Bioengineering Researchers and Entrepreneurs: Industry Forum
Clemson is a phenomenal research institution. This is an opportunity for students and faculty to showcase their research to interested industry partners to grow their research, to connect with business partners, and to help commercialize their innovations through licensing IP or starting up companies. Industry partners will participate on a panel. Both industry partners and Clemson students/faculty are needed and welcome!Bioengineering faculty and students in Clemson University’s Department of Bioengineering will make brief presentations of their research and entrepreneurial activities to prospective business partners and investors in order to make connections resulting in more detailed and private conversations.Afterwards, a panel of university and industry professionals will discuss to create a Bioengineering Community of Excellence that attracts, educates and retains top talent. How do we help bioengineering students find jobs here? How to we use the talent base to attract bioengineering company headquarters and R&D facilities? How do we build the ecosystem to support the growth of bioengineering startups?
