Abstract

Woodruff Road, located in Greenville, SC, is a busy center of activity. It experiences extreme congestion on a daily basis, especially during rush hours as people commute to and from work and lunch hour. Many of the arterial’s retail and commercial uses are isolated from one another due to expansive parking lots. Families living in the surrounding area have no other option but to access Woodruff Road by automobile. It would be beneficial to cyclists, pedestrians, and drivers alike to solve this congestion problem and to create a safer atmosphere.
