Abstract

My terminal project is motivated by my experience in Richmond, Virginia, a growing city that is currently undergoing an exciting renaissance of sorts. However, for many, Richmond retains a reputation as an industrial Southern city with a violent crime problem and gritty image. Despite this not being the case for many years, this image is nonetheless perpetuated by areas of the city that have been overlooked or neglected during said time of revitalization where many efforts have been focused elsewhere. Specifically, I aim to address the neighborhood of Scott’s Addition.
