We focused on determining the stability constants for Cu(II) binding of sulfur and selenium antioxidants in aqueous conditions by potentiometric or spectrophotometric determination. Correlations of stability constant and antioxidant capability, as previously determined by gel electrophoresis, are examined, as well as the likelihood of each complex forming in vivo.
